In early April 2023, the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) Bureau of Construction Codes withdrew from the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR), the rule sets pertaining to Part 10. Michigan Uniform Energy Code and Part 10a. Michigan Energy Code. The Bureau will be seeking additional guidance from our stakeholders and the public to clarify provisions and ensure references are accurate within the rule sets. When the new rule sets are drafted, the Bureau will schedule another public hearing where public comments can be made.
