MECHANICAL
INSPECTORS ASSOCIATION of MICHIGAN
The Mechanical Inspectors Association of
Michigan, MIAM, is a statewide organization which includes
membership of all inspectors, contractors, utilities and other individuals or
organizations who may be interested.
Each Spring and Fall, a
Conference is held at a convenient location in the State. These Conferences each
include up to 15 hours of intense state approved programs geared especially
toward the mechanical inspector. Many subjects are covered with different speakers
and different points of view.

METROPOLITAN
MECHANICAL INSPECTORS ASSOCIATION
The Metropolitan Mechanical Inspectors
Association, MMIA, is a regional organization (primarily
southeastern Michigan known as Region 9) which includes membership of all
inspectors, contractors, utilities and other individuals or organization who may
be interested.
Every other month, a Seminar is held in
the Metropolitan Detroit area. These seminars include 2 to 3 hours of
educational information and are designed to work in conjunction with the MIAM
Conferences. Many important topics are covered supplying up-to-date information.
INSPECTORS
EDUCATION FUND
The Mechanical Inspectors Association of Michigan, MIAM, and the Metropolitan Mechanical Inspectors Association, MMIA, have established an Education Fund for the express purpose of helping all inspectors in the State of Michigan obtain and maintain all of the required contact hours necessary for re-registration every three years with the State of Michigan Bureau of Construction Codes and Fire Safety. The Education Fund continues this process by providing MIAM and MMIA programs for members.
The
Inspector Newsletter is published two times a year.
The Membership Directory is published once during the cycle and updated annually.
Reports cards for dues paid members are available on the website.
