M I N U T E S

The General Membership meeting of the Metropolitan Mechanical Inspectors Association was opened by President Pappas at 12:30 PM.

At this time President Pappas welcomed members and their guests to the meeting reminding the attendees of the following:

            1.         Reservations are important so that staff may be prepared for all attendees

            2.         Turn off cell phones

            3.         Importance of membership solicitation

Vice President Report:  Keith Rosen – absent

Secretary Report:  Gene Burke – presented minutes from the May 21, 2009 meeting.  Approval moved, supported and carried.

Treasurer Report:  Treasurer Burke reported the May 31, 2009 financial statement.  Approval moved, supported and carried.

At this time Lynn Briggs, Legislative Consultant - none

Education Committee Report:  Co-Chairman Mitchell reported the following reminding all inspectors to review their report cards for accuracy and requirements.  He noted also that the State will not be sending report cards and all inspectors should call the BCC to review same.  Today is the last seminar for the cycle and the MIAM spring conference was the last in the cycle.
