General Membership Meeting Minutes

The Metropolitan Mechanical Inspectors Association, MMIA, is a regional organization (primarily southeastern Michigan known as Region 9) which includes membership of all inspectors, contractors, utilities and other individuals or organization who may be interested.

As you know the State of Michigan is requiring inspectors of all trades to be registered and certified by the State Department of Labor.  To this end, MMIA will provide continuing education in the form of by-monthly seminars for the recertification of mechanical inspectors. Every other month, a seminar is held in the Metropolitan Detroit area. These seminars include 2 to 3 hours of educational information and are designed to work in conjunction with the MIAM Conferences. Many important topics are covered supplying up-to-date information.

It is MMIA's sincerest desire, with your help, to grow in stature and membership and to provide mechanical inspectors statewide, through knowledge and techniques with the ability to ensure the public safety and general welfare.  We currently boast some 170 members, and we believe we can help each other achieve our common goals.
