Mechanical Contractor Licenses can now be
renewed through the Bureau's Online Permit Manager.
You must have access to the
Internet, a MasterCard or Visa credit card and there will be a $3.00 Accela
processing fee per license. Go to
www.michigan.gov/bccrenewals and select License Searching-Renewal Payments.
Instructions are provided to create a User ID/Password and to guide user through
the renewal process.

The Bureau of Construction Codes has scheduled a hearing on July 20, 2010
regarding:
Michigan Uniform Energy Code
(Residential)
Michigan Uniform Energy Code
(Commercial)
Michigan Rehabilitation Code for
Existing Buildings
Michigan Construction Code Part 4
(Building Code)
Copies of the proposed codes can be downloaded from the Bureau website at
www.michigan.gov/bcc.
Notice of
Public Hearing
Mechanical Contractor / Inspector Review Board
A panel with an equal number of inspectors and contractors, to arbitrate specific disagreements between inspectors and contractors. The review decisions are non-binding and the opinions offered are objective.
Complaints might include such things as "intractable inspectors" and "shoddy contractors", differences of opinion on job installations and code interpretations.
