The Mechanical Inspectors Association of
Michigan, MIAM, and the Metropolitan Mechanical Inspectors Association,
MMIA, have established an Education Fund for the express purpose of
helping all inspectors in the State of Michigan obtain and maintain all of the
required contact hours necessary for re registration with the State of Michigan
Bureau of Construction Codes and Fire Safety. The Education Fund has
begun this process by providing MIAM and MMIA programs for
members during the past several years.
The intention of the Education Committee is provide the Mechanical Inspectors
all of the hours needed to reregister. As you can see, attendance at
all of the MIAM Conferences and MMIA Seminars may provide as many as 34 contact
hours per year. Why go anywhere else?
Another function of the Education Committee is to track the contact hours
for all dues paying members of MIAM and MMIA. We will provide an up-to-date
report to you on an annual basis which will include the date of the program,
state approved program number, number of contact hours and category.
Currently, the Bureau of Construction Codes and Fire Safety is providing reports
and maintaining inspector hours for all programs that a certified inspector has
earned. We provide only the hours earned through MIAM and/or MMIA.
Those of you who are already members of either or both MIAM or MMIA
are on the right track. We thank you for your support. Those of you who have not
yet joined are invited to do so. See what these great organizations can do for
you today! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the
association office. ACT NOW - FORWARD YOUR MEMBERSHIP TODAY!
